This was purchased as a gift for my Sister to use at college between classes due to its small size. She can use the Wi-Fi at home and at school. She is in love with it. The unit does so much and will continue to change as she installs and deletes as she wants. Came with Android 2.2.1 installed. She just wanted an MP3 and video player and got so much more. There is only a few grips that can be lived with. It does not have any sound adjustment like EQ. The sound is OK but could be better. The speaker is weak but not horible like the Sylvania of which I returned two of them. There is no data about the device features such as screen capabilities but they are excellent. All of her freinds that have played with the device are blown away and want one. At $59.00 this device is great value loaded with capabilities. I want one now as she can't stop playing Angry Bird game. My sister might have to pry it out of her cold dead fingers to get it back. It has I'm guessing about a 4 gig flash drive. It links to the computer as two drives. The first drive has about 2.6 gigs remaining on the drive but is loaded with lots of good software. I purchased the Amazon 8 gig class 10 microSD card and it works great. If it becomes available again its a great buy.

Ok, I was really excited to receive this item. I have to say the shipping speed was SUPER!So that was a plus. I am going to keep this as simple as possible and list the pro's and con's of this as I have found them after using this for a week. Also, keep in mind that I purchased this to be used mainly as an E-Reader with the benefits of the tablet for when I was looking for something to do besides read.
    Pro's:
1.Fast Shipping-arrived in 3 days with me paying $3.99 extra for expedited shipping because I have a prime account, considering this came from Singapore that was a feat.(although the seller is listed as USA seller, this did surprise me)
2.Excellent Screen Clarity- played my Transformer's 1 and 2 I transferred in HD from my HTC HD2 and had almost HD quality.
3.Fast Browser-internet speed is faster than my Windows based HTC so no complaint's there. It is not a lap top so don't expect instant page loads but works well enough to stream NCIS from CBS using the TV.COM app from Amazon market without issues and rebuffering constantly.
4.Feels good in hand, feels sturdy and not cheaply made. The weight feels about like a real book when used with the leather cover with on board qwerty keyboard I purchased separately.(that works great as well for anyone interested)
5.Lot's of App's available from Amazon that work well with this tablet.
    Con's:
1.NOT Google Android Market, the OS is Android but they do not have license for the Android Market which is a separate entity. Uses Wonder Market even though it is cleverly disguised to resemble the android market but you'll find most the apps are in Chinese and unless you speak or read that language not much good for you. After phoning Android Tech support I was informed that this device is INCOMPATIBLE with the Android market.(go to Amazon and download there Market app and there are a lot of same apps as Android market there to overcome this shortcoming. I only figured this out about day 5)I did find a place to download the Android Market but after installation it crashed every time I tried to open it. So I wouldn't waste time there.
2.Touch screen is sluggish and slow to respond-not the greatest touch screen, really glad I have the hardware keyboard and don't have to rely on the virtual keyboard. Pretty much stylus dependent for smooth clicking, scrolling, etc.
3.Half of the built in Apps are in Chinese so they have to be deleted or they just take up space.
4.NO e-reader app pre-installed and took a while to find one to install; until I figured out Amazon Market would work and then I was able to install the Kindle app and also found Overdrive Media that let's you download ebooks and audiobooks from your library.
5.Battery Life-not great battery life and slow to charge. So considering my main reason for purchasing was as an ereader this part was the worst for me, after figuring out the app market issue. I can only read for a couple of hours at a time with it before it has to be charged. This is even with me putting it in Airplane mode to conserve as much power as possible.
This device has some issues but for the price, I feel that the trade off is worth it. An Ipad it is not, but then again your not paying a minimum $500 price tag either. I have several fun apps, (angry birds, paper toss, farkle, etc.) That allow plenty of playtime and decent web browsing. Considering I can't even buy a decent E-Ink reader for under $100 bucks, the $95 price tag this came with is well worth the money I feel.

    Reviews
At first I thought it was a joke or a sort of scam when I read the price tag being $80, so I thought, if Amazon has good return policies, why not give this a try? Thus I bought it, and to my surprise, it was shipped out just two hours after I placed the order ! Talk about speed ! Got it today (Saturday) and thanks for the priority mail, it was $8 and some change well spent !
Turned on the machine, it said battery low, so I plugged the wall charger in and let it charge. After about 30 minutes, I couldn't wait any more, I turned it on and WOW !!! I almost burst into tears, not because the thing was crap, but my GOD, it is exactly the opposite ! It was simply the best $80 product I have ever spent on Amazon ! Everything works on the pad, the touch screen works better than my Libre|Touch even with the plastic protective screenwrapper on, I didn't bother taking it off because it actually works pretty nicely as a screen protector.
On the contrary to the previous reviewer, Angry Birds runs nicely on my copy, but of course, its not as smooth as it does on the iPad. I have not ventured far enough to see if Android Market is reachable, so I have no comment on this. Perhaps there's a way to root it up to get Android Market installed or something. So far, things just work beautifully, I will update this review at a later time.
My only complains, the unit runs quite hot at the bottom, I am only hoping that it does not explode eventually...! The quality of the build feels cheap, but still pretty solid, and again, its only $80 ! For this price, this tablet is worthy of every single penny, I am really liking it so far.

    6. Skytex Primer Pocket 4.3" Multi-touch Android 2.2 Media Tablet

    • 4.3" LCD display
    • Android 2.2;
    • Multi-touch (pinch-to-zoom)
    • 600 MHz processor 600MHz + 400 MHz DSP; G-sensor
    • 256 MB DDR2 RAM
    • Compatible with microSD Cards up to 16 GB
    Reviews
I took a flyer and ordered this product not sure whether it was just a toy or was a truly multi-functional device. The first challenge was to figure out how navigate the screen landscape. Using my finger proved to be frustrating. So after an hour or two I was ready to send it back.
The following day, I switched to a stylus, which overcame the hit-or-miss experience of navigating the resistive screen. While not exactly on par capacitive screens, it was a tremendous improvement and more than merely tolerable.
The audio and video output soften truck me as really good, considering the device's specs. My experience with wifi at hot sites was also very good. In fact, it was better than my cell phone. No problems were detected with the G-sensor or the microSD card slot. The buttons or levers for on/off, men, back, and volume took a few minutes to get accustomed to, but once learned they were very functional. (Anyone who has used the Archos 400 and higher line of products has experienced a similar learning curve.)
Perhaps the one drawback to the Primer Pocket is that it does not have access to the android Market, but instead comes with GetJar for apps. Third-party app stores like Amazon's close the gap somewhat. I am still looking for a good full-fledged office suite that allows viewing AND generating AND editing of Word docs, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
The primary purpose in buying an small and inexpensive (as opposed to a cheap) tablet was to have something I could use as a video or music player or for email checking at odd moments. You know, pop it into a trouser pocket and pull it out during a break or at lunch. The Skytex Primer Pocket more than serves these intended uses. I had considered an Archos 43, which is probably a better machine, albeit more expensive. But for $78-89 through online shops like Amazon, Buy.com and elsewhere, it's a terrific deal--not least of all because it is inexpensive and multi-functional, not cheap and limiting!

PI bought this from Tiger Direct through Amazon. It came quickly and worked fine right out of the box. Comes with cable to charge/program from your computer and small earphones without a headband.
It comes with Android 2.1, but an upgrade to Android 2.2 is available. I had a little trouble downloading the upgrade, seems like the Archos servers are very busy in the evening. I tried again in the morning, early, and it worked first try.
Very nice little MP3 player, very light, fits easily in my pocket. Music sounds good. Easy to load music from the PC, just copy it over like it was a flash drive. Earphones are pretty lame, a $5 pair of Panasonic phones with a headband work fine though.
As a portable computer it is really a little too small. Quarter VGA screen. Touchscreen works but not as well as other devices. Screen is too small so you need something smaller than your finger to type with. A ballpoint pen cap seems to work well in the on-screen keyboard.
App Store is not the Google store but an Archos store. Wants you to sign up with PayPal for paid apps, but when I tried to do that the link was busted. Free apps are fun. I saw postings that said how to install the Google app store but have not tried it.
WiFi range is a tad short. Works throughout the upstairs of my house (access point is upstairs on one end of the house) but does not work well downstairs in the family room. Probably too much metal heating duct, etc, in the way but that never bothered laptop computers.
Overall, a nice little toy for listening to music and playing with Android.

I bought this item when it  was at first skeptical because there was no reviews on it but it was cheap and had some great features. It is very easy to set up but the only problem with it is that the manual it comes with is in jap and so are a few of the app names that is comes preinstalled with but everything else is in english. But overall a great buy and I love the touch screen part of it and so do i. Its as responsive as my touch screen phone. So far , I can't find a way to install any new apps for the android because this device cant connect to the internet. Or at least I can't find a way to do it yet. Overall tho not at all a bad product. Fairly easy to use and fun too. A good buy if you dont want to get an ipod touch and you can play movies on it too!

Price was cheap and delivery was excellent. I have enjoyed learning about this device as I am not an expert at these things.
I wanted the most. Even some of the apps preloaded require a very difficult set up, which I could not have done without help. Other than these things i like this device and I keep learning how it works. If you are not computer savy I recomend not buying this tablet.
If you are I believe you will trully enjoy working with it.

I bought 2 of these exact tablet PC's. One 4 months ago for myself, and another for a friend as a gift now. The 3G feature is pretty much out of the question, you need specific SIM cards, additional modems, and the made in China limits the product further. There are tutorials, and some people managed to get them to work, but it is rare. WiFi is excellent, and speed is excellent all around, within limits. If you run apps from the built in store, you are OK. But a USA Google app, hijacked from the net, such as Angry Birds will slow it down ALOT. It has a CPU plus a 2nd DSP cpu. A DSP cpu is an extra cpu that's stripped of functions, in the theory that a small instruction set is efficient and can run processes quicker. I am quessing this one is used for the internet. That's what most do. Or for storage management. One or the other. I liked this for the price, but the power supply plug was the same size as the headphone jack. I plugged the power supply into the headphone jack just to see how bad engineering can get. It was bad. My poor chinese tablet never worked again. The power supply jack should be plugged into the lower right hole with the screen facing you, and the front side of the tablet with the big button with arrow is on the right. The book will not tell you this, so enough said.
